AUDITION GUIDELINES

 

We are now accepting applications for our 2025/26 season!

Requirements for submissions:

• Resume

• Headshot & Full body shot (arabesque and tendu a la seconde)

• Video audition (see below)

• *Email us to inquire about auditioning in-person (a resume and requested photos are required before any invitation will be extended)

A full application is required for acceptance into: Classical Training Program *Applicants must be between ages 14-21 years by August 1, 2025 (exceptions may be made on an individual basis)
 

 

VIDEO submission guidelines:

If you will be submitting a video audition please follow the guidelines below to the best of your ability.

​

• Audition attire:

  • Women - dark leotard, pink tights, flat and pointe shoes 

  • Men - black tights, white shirt

  • *Video audition - do not include an introduction or any fancy editing

 

• Barre work, up to 5 minutes.​

  • tendu

  • fondue

  • adagio

  • grand battements

    • Include only one side of each combination

• Center Work, up to 5 minutes. 

  • adagio

  • pirouettes; en dehors & en dedans

  • small jumps

  • medium allegro; assemblés, jetés, sissonnes, etc.

  • grand allegro (length of combination should be 16-32 bars)

    • Men to include tours en l'air

• Women to include:

  • Pointe work in center

    • warm-up; echappés, retirés

    • pirouettes; en-dehors and en-dedans

    • diagonal of turning step

• Optional:

  • classical variation

  • contemporary solo

*Merit-based scholarships and financial aid are limited for those who qualify.
